We are a couple of geriatrics that purchased a Norman 23 two months ago. The inside was completely painted white UGH! so whilst my husband worked in the cockpit I got going and stripped every bit of woodwork back to the original mahogany, re stained where needed and varnished and Mike (my husband) made new doors. It has been back breaking work but thoroughly enjoyable, I finally got the cooker to work with the help of WD40 and a bit of TLC, next job, refurb the loo. Then before the winter sets in we will have her lifted out and we can work on the hull and deck and antifoul. We are lucky enough to live within the Norfolk Broads and have our boat moored 10 mins walk from where we live. We have already come under the spell of our Norman and hope to spend a lot of time on her, whether it be working, cruising or just pottering around her whilst moored to the pontoon. It was seeing your site that made us start looking at buying a boat, so THANKS! it is a great site and I am sure we will get some very good advice and tips from other NORMAN fanatics when we need it, which we definitely will.
